Wild Birds - Anant Pradhan - Larry McDonald
If this moment in time had you worried about our democratic process and our continued fight for civil rights you will love this print!
The Big Rain Roses have not yet been hung -- they are leaning against a wall, waiting until my son moves out and I take over his room for office and crafting space. But the first day I saw these in morning light, I immediately smiled and thought to myself, "Confectionery!" The colors are both full and soft, the water-streaked effect is evocative, and the blue is particularly compelling (as seems to be the case in the Palm Court painting as well). My mother was a great lover of roses, but they are tricky to grow through Florida summers. These two prints give me both the memory of roses and the memory of my mom.
Palm Court, the painting takes me back to Palm Court, the place and my mind floods with all of the great memories of it.
You were either there or you weren't..
Great quality print of a stunning piece of one of my favorite places, what's not to love?
This particular rendering of Palm Court really brought back the spirit of Palm Court and New College, one of the most positive and formative periods of my entire life. Also it’s a beautiful work.
Dan and I love this print, because it's powerful and inspiring, plus it is beautiful. We are so pleased to have it in our home.
This is a truly excellent print. The aestehtics and craftsmanship and truly top-notch. I'm delighted to have it in my home.
Since this painting depicts an iconic area of where I went to college, I have a nostalgic draw to it. But beyond that, this is a gorgeous painting that looks realistic but also artistic and a bit surreal. Michael James Freedman is an extremely talented artist and I'm very glad to have one of his prints on my wall.
So much variety, and great prices!
I love this print, it is wonderful quality, vivid and detailed. It has a nice raised New College seal too. I will treasure it and enjoy it always. Thank you.
Resembles my boy Archer so had to have it. Great little piece — a couple of people already complimented it. Will want to work w the artist soon for a custom job!
This painting captures the heart of a special place that New College students remember as the center of the universe. The painting is tropical, whimsical, dreamy and stirs fond memories.
In 1964, I. M. Pei designed the New College dorms and its Palm Court, a rectangle of royal palms in a tight pattern that he said expressed Apollonian order set against the Dionysian spirit of freedom and nature. Freedman aptly captures this dichotomy in his expressive watercolor.

I’m an artist who took over twenty years off to run a business, but now I’m back and exploring ideas and images that interest me.
