The esplanade plantings are still young, tucked into steel-edged boxes along the sidewalk. Behind them, scaffolding and concrete rise in sharp lines, a whole new skyline under construction.
The drawing became about that meeting point—leaves pressing forward against the weight of new walls. A fragile green persistence, set against the hard geometry of the build.
