This is a portrait of Sonia Sotomayor, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court.

Born in 1954, she was nominated by Barack Obama and confirmed in 2009 by a vote of 68 to 31 by senators representing 73% of the population of the US (DC excluded).

It's a small painting, but it feels right.
