Jossalyn — An Escaped Sheep

She had a tale to tell.

I met Jossalyn during the Portrait Project, where I'd set up a table and invited passersby to sit for a quick interview and a portrait (done later in the studio). I asked her to tell a story. She told me about when her sheep escaped from her farm and she had to chase her down.

Jossalyn was so open with me, as only kids can be. She told the story like she might have told it to her friend. I really wanted to capture that openness and that youthful pleasure in life, when an escaped sheep becomes the best story of your life.
