Claxton's Arc: Shooting Over Okongwu

Capturing the Moment
In this piece, I aimed to capture the intensity of the matchup between Nic Claxton and Onyeka Okongwu during the Nets vs. Hawks game. Claxton’s offensive drive, rising above Okongwu’s defense, was a pivotal moment that showcased the athleticism and determination of both players.

Artistic Approach
Using gouache and sumi ink on paper, I focused on the contrast between the players’ movements—the upward arc of Claxton’s shot against the grounded stance of Okongwu. This dynamic interplay of offense and defense is central to the energy of the game.

Post-Game Reflection
