Wedding Whisper Sketch Study 2

There's that moment in a wedding.

For me, it was when I was dancing with my wife, after the ceremony and many congratulations, when we could have a few minutes of peace. I remember whispering something, but not sure what, to her, listening to Chet Baker's My Funny Valentine, and just being glad to be alone for a minute. 

Time Travel is the next big thing.

I didn't draw during my wedding, but lately, I've been wishing that an artist had been there to record it. With the magic of photographs, I can time travel, and be that artist, with the addition of many years of happy marriage hindsight. 

This is one of the better studies for the painting.

In preparation for the painting, I did many drawings. I'm making only a few available as prints, because I think they really captured some of the feelings of the day, and I hope some of the universal feelings that we feel when we marry someone we love.

The prints are beautiful.

The original is, 9" x 7". I print these on archival paper (Hahnemuhle German Etching paper) with pigment ink, unenlarged on a 11" x 8.5" paper, with a roughly 1" border on each side. It looks almost exactly like the original sketch.
