This drawing of my Astrophytum ornatum captures the feeling of the plant. It's currently about 4 inches tall, but growing. In the wild they can get as large as 4 feet, but mine is still just a baby.
Prickly but lovable
The thing that I love about succulents is that the plants find a way to survive in challenging environments. The sharp spines protect the plant but also gather moisture from the morning mist. The white scales reflect the sun, protecting the plant from damage.
It's a simple drawing, and a pretty print, perfect for a cactus lover
