You think spiders are scary?

The brown recluse spider from Texas is actually poisonous, but you'll have trouble finding them. They hide in dark places and typically run away from people.

I'll tell you what's scary. 

From the 1970's to today, some spider populations have dropped 140 to 1. So it's no accident that you aren't seeing spiders around like you used to. They're disappearing.

This drawing of a brown recluse spider was done as part of a quick series about spiders and climate change for Halloween. The actual drawing is 6" x 9" and I print them on 11" x 8.5" paper so they're easy to frame and there's a nice border around it.
