Presidential Photo Op - Take III - With American Girl

In some universe, holding up a bible after clearing the street outside the White House using a combination of secret military and park police will be emulated. In this universe, American Girls will play with toy bibles, blessed by the President himself, just like German kids played with toy Hitlers during World War II. (It’s true. Look it up.)

This image combines a couple of my current obsessions:

1. Marisol, the American Girl, is wearing a dress designed by my daughter for an assignment at school, where she designed and crafted her own version of an Evening Dress by Paco Rabanne from 1965 that is in the Metropolitan Museum Collection.

2. Trump is holding up “a bible” for the camera after police have cleared LaFayette Square.
