Playing at Patriotism

I was thinking of all those wonderful Picasso clowns from his rose period and King Lear’s fool who speaks truth to power. Or maybe it’s the king wearing the coxcomb.

The actual print is drop-dead gorgeous.

I print this using a top-of-the-line Epson printer on archival quality Hahnemühle German Etching 310 g/mA Paper. I use pigment-based inks that are certified to last over 200 years. It's crazy how the print looks exactly like the original.

The paper has a subtle tooth to it that gives the image a softness. I am so excited to be able to offer this at a reasonable price.

The print fits in standard frames.

The original painting is 14" x 10", but I print it with a 1" border on each side so it fits in a 16" x 12" frame. You will receive a signed and numbered print. I think you'll really like it.

But you probably should pick someone who would appreciate the irony/politics of the image. It really is beautiful, but it might offend some people.

Because I paint, scan, print, market, and ship these myself, I can keep the costs down. I'm not doing this to make money. My goal is to make great art and get it into the hands of collectors who will really appreciate it.
