This orchid is more than a flower.

I bought this orchid five years ago as a present for my wife and every year it blooms again and each year the flowers bloom for longer, this time for over a month. Each time it blooms, it brings some light and beauty into our house.

It's a thing of beauty.

It’s no wonder that orchids are a popular flower for artists to paint. They bloom for a long time. The shapes of the flowers are beautiful, designed to attract the insects they need.

The actual print is gorgeous.

I printed this by hand on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 g/mA Paper using a top-of-the-line Epson printer with archival pigment inks that is rated for 200+years.

It's uncanny how accurately the print captures the original. I think most people expect a print to be more like a poster. In this case, it's a faithful representation of the art, with subtle layering of color. The paper itself has a soft texture, and the effect is stunning.

It fits a standard frame.

You will receive a 20” x 16” signed print. The image size is 14”x 10” with a 3" border on each side so it fits in a standard frame. You can see what this looks like in the images (frame not included).

Because I paint, scan, print, market, and ship these myself, I can keep the costs down. I'm not doing this to make money. My goal is to make great art and get it into the hands of collectors who will appreciate it.

Beautiful expressive print that captures a crucial historical moment perfectly!

If this moment in time had you worried about our democratic process and our continued fight for civil rights you will love this print!

The Big Rain Roses have not yet been hung -- they are leaning against a wall, waiting until my son moves out and I take over his room for office and crafting space. But the first day I saw these in morning light, I immediately smiled and thought to myself, "Confectionery!" The colors are both full and soft, the water-streaked effect is evocative, and the blue is particularly compelling (as seems to be the case in the Palm Court painting as well). My mother was a great lover of roses, but they are tricky to grow through Florida summers. These two prints give me both the memory of roses and the memory of my mom.

Palm Court, the painting takes me back to Palm Court, the place and my mind floods with all of the great memories of it.
