I had a lot of fun with this drawing.
It's based on a photo I have of a number of ladies (including my wife) dancing in one of those dances where everyone knows the steps. I really tried to capture the sheer variety of the movements, and to complement that with the different brush, pen and ink styles. It's really a lovely drawing.
A twelve part series in ink
I did a series of 12 drawings based on the classic twelve days of Christmas Carol. The drawings are all in pen and brush and ink. I'm selling prints of each of the drawings.
These archival prints are gorgeous.
I print these myself using a top-of-the-line Epson printer on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper. The paper is thick and has a nice texture to it. The ink is lightfast and tested to last for 200 years. The original is 14" x 11" and I print these with a 1" border on the top, left and right, and a 2" border on the bottom so that they look good framed without a mat.
