Sometimes a black and white drawing can tell it all.
This is a simple 10" x 8" drawing of the beach from life. The thing that got me interested was the way the water rolled up to the rocks, and the way the rocks were so black and visibly impenetrable. It's a simple drawing, but it tells a story of weather and rocks and the vast energies of the ocean.
The prints are quite nice.
I wasn't sure how a pen and ink drawing would reproduce, but the prints are really beautiful. I print these on 11" x 8.5" inch paper so it has a small 1/4" border on the left and right and 1/2" up and down. It looks like an etching, the way the black is just so black. I print on Hahnemuhle Rag Paper so it just has a nice feel to it.
