The Hudson River is beautiful.

This is a quick gouache sketch of the Hudson river at Coxsackie. I was trying to capture the reflection of the sky on the water, and the different saturation from the trees that were only a few hundred feet vs those that were much farther away. Painting moving water is particularly challenging, because it’s, well, moving. And the tides on the Hudson, even up here, swing many feet four times a day, so the angle of the dock was different by the time I finished the drawing.

This is a sweet little painting.

The actual drawing is small, 12” x 9”. It's a small drawing with details as if it were a larger canvas.

And it's a gift to the Hudson River

All proceeds from print sales go to the Hudson River Foundation. This is a chance to get a wonderful piece of art and help ensure that the river remains a great place for generations to come.

The print is a faithful rendition of the original.

You will receive a 14” x 11” signed Giclée print on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 g/mA Paper. The image size is 12” x 9” with a 1” border on each side.

Wild Birds - Anant Pradhan - Larry McDonald

Beautiful expressive print that captures a crucial historical moment perfectly!

If this moment in time had you worried about our democratic process and our continued fight for civil rights you will love this print!

The Big Rain Roses have not yet been hung -- they are leaning against a wall, waiting until my son moves out and I take over his room for office and crafting space. But the first day I saw these in morning light, I immediately smiled and thought to myself, "Confectionery!" The colors are both full and soft, the water-streaked effect is evocative, and the blue is particularly compelling (as seems to be the case in the Palm Court painting as well). My mother was a great lover of roses, but they are tricky to grow through Florida summers. These two prints give me both the memory of roses and the memory of my mom.

Palm Court, the painting takes me back to Palm Court, the place and my mind floods with all of the great memories of it.
