Were the rings really pheasants?
A scholar surmised that the first five gifts were all birds, and that the golden rings were from a ringed pheasant, but it's so much more fun to imagine them as rings for the fingers.
A twelve part series in ink
I did a series of 12 drawings based on the classic twelve days of Christmas Carol. The drawings are all in pen and brush and ink. I'm selling prints of each of the drawings.
These archival prints are gorgeous.
I print these myself using a top-of-the-line Epson printer on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper. The paper is thick and has a nice texture to it. The ink is lightfast and tested to last for 200 years. The original is 12" x 9" but I print these slightly smaller at 11" x 8.5" so they fit in standard inexpensive frames.
