She loved that dress.

When my daughter was around one or so, she had a favorite dress that poofed out at the waist. She continued to insist on wearing that dress even when it was too small for her (when she was 1 and a half), but it was just adorable.

This drawing was done with a chinese calligraphy brush and sumi ink. In college, I spent a year studying Shodo (Japanese Calligraphy), and it feels good to get back to that technique.

This is one of several studies for my Daffodil Girl painting, in which she contemplates a sea of daffodils as only a kid of that age can.

The archival prints are really gorgeous.

The original drawing is 11" x 14". I use a top-of-the-line Epson printer to print on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper which has a little tooth to it. The prints look almost like an lino print, and have a 1" border on three sides, and a 2" border on the bottom (13" x 17").
