I’m currently fascinated by the photos of Trump and Melania’s visit to the Shrine of John Paul II. Here’s our president, who’s just cleared the streets of protestors, posing with his wife as if for a wedding, with a silver cross in the foreground and angels and saints with halos behind them.

They’re both angry; about what, I’m not sure. But angry and calling on the angels and saints at the same time as the national guard unleash caustic chemicals on American citizens.

In my version, Melania stayed home. In my version, the haloed saints in the background are now the angels that are minted when one is wrongfully killed by the police.

There’s Breonna Taylor, There’s Dion Johnson, Tony McDade, and Aiyana Jones.

Aiyana Jones was a seven year old girl, killed in a SWAT raid in 2010 that was recorded by a film crew from the show The First 48 on A & E. The officer who pulled the trigger was charged, but never convicted.

There’s Sean Monterrosa, Tamir Rice, and Emmett Till.

Emmett Till was lynched in Mississippi in 1955. An all white jury found the accused not guilty, but the two men publicly admitted that they had done the deed a year after the case. They were never punished.

There's Ahmaud Arbery, Alberta Spruill, and George Floyd.

Great art, great memories

This particular rendering of Palm Court really brought back the spirit of Palm Court and New College, one of the most positive and formative periods of my entire life. Also it’s a beautiful work.

Dan and I love this print, because it's powerful and inspiring, plus it is beautiful. We are so pleased to have it in our home.

Beautiful print

This is a truly excellent print. The aestehtics and craftsmanship and truly top-notch. I'm delighted to have it in my home.

Gorgeous

Since this painting depicts an iconic area of where I went to college, I have a nostalgic draw to it. But beyond that, this is a gorgeous painting that looks realistic but also artistic and a bit surreal. Michael James Freedman is an extremely talented artist and I'm very glad to have one of his prints on my wall.
