Begonia.01

This begonia has some really nice leaves.

I was trying to get a feel for the energy of the leaves. They are asymmetrical and very colorful, but what works in this sketch is the weight of the leaves and the contrast between the edges and the coloring. 

The prints are really nice.

The original 7.5" x 9.5" drawing is from my sketchbook, and the prints are so accurate, you can just make out the drawing on the backside of the paper. I print using pigment based ink on a high-end Epson printer on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper. I print on 8.5" x 11" paper and leave a border, so these are really easy to frame. Each print is signed and numbered.
