When It Rains, It Pours.

Climate change has warmed the ocean and the air so much that the atmosphere holds more water. A tropical storm that would normally have brought slightly elevated amounts of rainfall now causes devastating floods that leave the poor homeless.

This storm was in Madagascar, a country known for its deserts and crazy succulents. In one day they received the same amount of rain as they normally do in a month, even during the rainy season.

I've been really interested in the reflections on water and capturing them in ink. It's just so cool how they get all swirly, but still can be imagined to make up the whole.

I'm Selling Both a Framed Original and Prints

The original is 16" x 12" and is framed and matted in a 22" x 16" black frame with a simple white mat. The prints are beautiful accurate representations of the original. They are printed on 19" x 13" archival Hahnemuhle German Etching paper with a .5" border on the sides and 1.5" borders on the top and the bottom.
