It's a Leap of Joy
At one point in the dance, all of the dancers leap together. Here, Aida is leaping in front of a mirror, and she along with the rest of the troupe is reflected.
This Drawing is Part of My Dancewave Series
I attended rehearsal with Dancewave's DC1 Pre-Professional Company for six weeks and made a series of drawings and paintings of the process. What sets Dancewave's Pre-Professional Company apart is that it is an opportunity for high-school students to work with choreographers from the world's most renowned modern dance companies.
All Sales Proceeds Go To Dancewave
This collaboration has been an exciting artistic opportunity for me, allowing me to capture the growth of the work and the way in which these young and tremendously talented students grow as dancers and in the piece.
I'm Selling Both a Framed Original and Prints
The original is 17" x 14" and is framed and matted in a 20" x 26" black frame with a simple white mat. The prints are beautiful accurate representations of the original. I offer two sides. One is 16" x 13" with the image shrunk a bit and no border. The second is on 17" x 22" archival Hahnemuhle German Etching paper with the full size image and a 1.5" border on the sides and 2.5" borders on the top and the bottom (which can be easily framed in a 17" x 22" frame with no mat needed).
