This is Jackson.
He's a beagle, and he hangs with me in my studio. I try to catch him sleeping, but he has this sixth sense and wakes up and moves as soon as I start drawing him - doesn't matter how quiet I am.
I find this painting a bit disconcerting, as if he caught me looking at him. There's something very much alive in his gaze.
It's a small painting, with a lot of heart.
The original is 6" x 8", so pretty small but it's really a nice piece, something for a hallway or somewhere else where you can get really close to it.
The prints are gorgeous.
I print these on 8.5" x 11" Hahnemühle German Etching all-cotton archival 310 g/mA Paper so they fit in a standard frame. Each print is signed by me, the artist.
It's part of a series.
This is something I keep coming back to and they all look good together. Collect them all.
