When my wife was expecting, I was nervous.
I painted a series of nine paintings guessing at what kind of kid we would have. As a first time parent, I had no idea what to expect.
This one is called the Opera Singer.
All babies cry, I figured, but this baby could cry with a vengeance, belting it out to the farthest balcony.
The actual print is gorgeous.
I print this using a top-of-the-line Epson printer on archival quality Hahnemühle German Etching 310 g/mA Paper. I use pigment based inks that are certified to last over 200 years. It's really uncanny how much the print looks like the original.
The paper has a subtle texture on it that feels warm. Everyone who has seen the prints is amazed at just how beautiful they are.
I am so excited to be able to offer something this beautiful for a reasonable price.
The print fits in standard frames.
The original painting is 8" x 14" but I print it with a 3" border on all sides. The final print is 14" x 20".
I am only printing 100.
You will receive a signed and numbered print. I really think you'll like it.
It's a fantastic gift.
Before the baby is old enough to care, it's nice to have something that you want to look at in the baby's room, especially when the baby gets to 5 weeks (and is able to belt it out like this one).
